The Souls Yearning

for Purpose…

Versus Security

“When you do things from your Soul, you feel a River moving in you, a Joy.”

~Rumi

At a very early age, I realized I had a destiny. It was a bit easier for me because I realized what seemed to make other people feel secure (money, power, fame) did not have the same effect on me. I resolved then to set out and find a deeper purpose for my life.

I knew I had a choice. I also knew I didn’t have the choice of pursuing a life of security and of “keeping up with the Jones” because that didn’t appeal to me. Maybe that is what made it easier for me and, at the same time, harder. There was no going back.

The good news was that I found there were people who were living their dreams and had a tremendous amount of joy and meaning in their lives. Their lives were not about Security. I set out to accomplish that for myself. This is what I found…

The Soul’s Purpose Versus Security
Although many people don’t believe this, it is very easy to find a job that will pay the bills, provide a roof over your head and give you enough money to eat every day. It simply requires a little bit of effort. First, you find a job. After a while, if your heart is not connected to it, you find that each day a little piece of your power and your soul has torn away. Contrary to that, there are many people who quite naturally and easily find a vocation they love and spend their lives in happiness. Those who have reconciled their lives to their paycheck without life purpose may find they live a life without meaning, a life that lacks inspiration and creativity. They fall victim to their secure lives. Sure, that paycheck is secure, but at what price? There is a part of you that is connected quite deeply to the universe and its plan. It is your Soul. It may take some time, effort, and faith to find your Soul’s purpose, but there are tools to help you navigate.

You may have to ask deeper questions, destroy old belief systems, and rely on your intuition, but what do you have to lose?

Everyone has a purpose.
That is why you are here on the planet. Those who have found their purpose are secure in their purpose. Their purpose provides meaning, and in turn, that provides security. This is the main difference between those who find security in their paycheck and those who have found their soul’s purpose. Those who have found their purpose know that they will be supported by the universe. They know that they are connected to something greater. There is no greater gift than having a life of meaning.

The North and South Lunar Nodes
How to find your purpose through your Astrological Chart.
There are two positions in every chart that help you to find your purpose in life. They are called the North and South Lunar Nodes. I like to think of them as your unique “Path of Destiny” or your “Soul’s Purpose.” Their positions tell a very unique story. They indicate where you have been and where you are going.

The South Node symbolically represents your past belief systems, outworn ideas, values, needs and desires. It is the general idea of what you have learned as a soul. This is your past story.

The North Node symbolically represents the new lessons to be learned, the questions to be answered, and where your Soul’s purpose and direction lie. Its position shows you where the soul is headed.

Upon navigating these positions and delving into the symbolic meaning,

anyone can have a more grounded

and foundational understanding

of what their Soul’s purpose is.
