Wisdom Teaching: Full Moon Cycle In Pisces

New Moon Cycle  August 31, 2001

fullmoonwoods

Looking forward to the Full Moon! This Sunday, September 2 at 2:43 pm PST (11:43 am EST) our glorious moon will be officially full, and centered in the Astrological sign of Pisces. It has been said that the full moon produces a higher state of tension, release and excitement in humans, animals and plants. Therefore, at a full moon judgment may be colored by these feelings--knowledge we can most certainly use to our advantage.

How can we be wiser with this emotionally intense cycle? The full moon is a better time for relaxing and nurturing oneself. It is also the time to receive the wisdom that comes from a completed cycle. For instance, full moon time is better for meditation, play and enjoyable pastimes where the unexpected is part of the picture. Fun and play can help to use up the extra energy and tension in a creative and positive manner. The attempt to do more sobering tasks at this time requires repression of those emotionally charged feelings. This could prove to be more difficult and could certainly result in, and adversely affect your performance in matters of work and business.

Wisdom Teaching: Moon Wobble September 10, 2001

 Moon Wobble!  September 10, 2001

rocksteady

This week we will enter into a cycle called “Moon Wobble.” As the name suggests it is a cycle of emotional instability and unsteadiness.

The Wisdom that is needed for this cycle is one of consciousness, emotional steadiness, and internal awareness. The possibility of excessive emotionalism, drama and/or fear can be very high during this time.

What exactly is a Moon Wobble? Moon Wobbles occur when the transiting Sun makes an exact contact with the Lunar (the Moon’s) Nodes. This contact (in astrological terms) is called a conjunction or a square.

How long does it last? The exact date of this Moon Wobble will occur on October 24th and the center will be at 1 degree Libra. Usually, the awareness of the cycle starts about 10 days before the exact configuration then continues for 10 days after. Thus, the cycle will be completed by October 4th. We have about 4-5 Moon Wobbles per year.

Wisdom Teaching: Moon Wobble Regarding September 11th, 2001

This is an ADDITIONAL REPORT on Moon Wobble and more information regarding  September 11, 2001

worldtradecenter

The attack on the New York Trade Center today was an absolute tragedy! Upon awaking this morning I am sure that those of you with friends and family had a tremendous amount of concern. As did I. My brother lives in New York and my sister got word to me to say that he was fine.

After many calls this morning I was compelled to write a little more about what this Moon Wobble Cycle is all about and some other observations of this cycle.

I first learned of Moon Wobbles about 12 years ago from my astrology teacher Diane Clarke. She first learned about them from Carl Payne Tobey who researched this cycle for many many years.

Unlike any other cycle, Moon Wobbles call us to come together emotionally. Many collective world tragedies have happened during Moon Wobble. I have listed some examples below. Moon Wobbles call us to remember “to feel.” Since the North Node is in the sign of Cancer (our countries birth sign, July 4th) we are all being asked to come together and nurture each other and feel the unconscious need for peace in this country, and in the world. The center of this Moon Wobble is at 1 degree of Libra. When Moon Wobbles are in the sign of Libra we tend to see more of a need “to balance” collectively with our “relationships” with other countries.

Wisdom Teaching: The New Moon Creation Cycle

New Moon Cycle  September 17, 2001

time heals

Hello everyone. My prayers and love go out to all of you as we all try to make sense of the events of last week’s tragedy. Personally I feel compelled to stay focused and productive toward getting you information about the current and upcoming cycles. My job is to be the Messenger about our upcoming cycles so we can all keep well grounded and informed during this very unstable and emotional time.

Today begins a New Moon Cycle. Remember that the New Moon Cycle is a Creation Cycle that works both individually and collectively. Following the cycle of the Moon helps you to stay in the natural flow of Creation with the Universe.

The New Moon is in the Astrological Sign of Libra. Libra is the archetype of the peacemaker and the diplomat. The symbol for Libra is the Scales. The New Moon in Libra suggests the need for fairness and empathy that will be needed to bring things to balance individually and in the world.

Wisdom Teaching: Fall and The Autumnal Equinox

Fall and The  Autumnal Equinox  September 24, 2001

fall leaves

Welcome to Fall! Our Autumnal Equinox was initiated this past Saturday, September 22. Fall is time for harvest. It is when the days and nights are of equal length. Autumn is the second time of balance in the year, Spring the other. Our days will now begin to become shorter until we arrive at the Winter Solstice on December 21st. After December 21st the days will then again start to grow longer in preparation for Spring.

It is time to celebrate and to store our abundance for the coming cold, but cozy months of winter. Animals are busy preparing for winter hibernation. Everywhere, there is great energy in the air. From this point on, we excite and celebrate the oncoming season of shorter days and longer nights.

What is happening with the Cycles this week?  Today is the exact center of our current Moon Wobble! 1 degree of Libra. I have put together a website page that explains what Moon Wobbles are in more detail. The address is: http://www.AmberFlynn.com/forecast/moonwobble.html

Stay grounded and become a conscious observer for the next few days. Get plenty of rest and watch that you don’t get caught up in the over-emotional tendencies of this cycle. Eat well and nurture yourself. It has been a tremendous time for all of us.

Wisdom Teaching: Mercury Retrograde in Libra

Mercury Retrograde September 28, 2001

telephone booth

Our swiftest moving planet Mercury, is going Retrograde in the Sign of Libra on Monday, October 1st (12:23 PST) until Monday, October 22nd Mercury is the planet of communications, everyday mental activity and movement. Mercury goes Retrograde approximately 3 times a year.

A retrograde planet is one that (when viewed from the earth) “appears” to have stopped and is moving backward through the sky. After some time the planet then goes "direct" and is back on it's normal cyclic path. Every planet retrogrades except the Sun and the Moon.

Mercury retrograde can give rise to personal misunderstandings, disrupted or delayed communications and poor negotiations. Breakdowns with devices that help us with our ability to communicate can be affected such as telephones, computers, cars, planes and trains. Many of these problems can arise because some crucial piece of information has been miscomprehended or misunderstood.

Wisdom Teaching: The Sun Sign Libra

Our Sun Sign Libra October 5, 2001

I am confident the early Astrologers were most intrigued by the Sun. Our Sun is the most visible planet in the sky. In fact, if you meet someone who is absolutely uneducated about Astrology they will at least know their “Sun” Sign. It is hard to ignore how physically and psychologically fundamental this big planet is to our lives.

So, what is the Sun’s Wisdom Teaching? Let’s begin with the significance of this planet. Clearly, the Sun is absolutely essential. Without it there would be no life. Period. In Astrology this translates to becoming aware of what is absolutely necessary each month when our Sun changes Signs. This means that all of our monthly activities revolve around the concepts and nature of the months Sun sign.

Our Sun is currently in the sign of Libra (Sep 22-Oct 23). Libra is the sign of balance. The symbol for Libra is The Scales. Libra’s main concern is creating beauty and balance, maintaining it and then enjoying it. This month, the Sun in Libra’s main focal teaching is about creating calm and conscious control over the unbalanced things that may be occurring in ANY of your current life situations.

Wisdom Teaching: Saturn Pluto Opposition

The Saturn Pluto Opposition  October 15, 2001

saturn

Why War?  Why Now?  The Saturn/Pluto Opposition.

Saturn and Pluto became actively engaged in conflict on August 5th, 2001. This geometrical aspect is called an “Opposition.” (180 degrees) Basically, Saturn and Pluto are standing face to face to one another. The dates of exact opposition are -- August 5th, 2001, November 2nd, 2001, and May 26th, 2002.

One way to picture an opposition is to imagine two people on a teeter-totter. When the teeter-totter is balanced, and the riders are exactly opposite, they can see each other. Oppositions provide the maximum awareness of “one thing to another.” In any opposition you can choose to listen, respond and cooperate, or you can choose to fight. Either way, you must relate. Blending and uniting concepts that are opposed is the goal.

What must blend?

Wisdom Teaching: Blue Moon Cycle

The Wisdom of a Blue Moon Cycle October 26, 2001

blue moon

We will be having a “Blue Moon” next Wednesday October 31st, in the Astrological sign of Taurus at 9:41 pm. Oh yes, that is on Halloween.

What is a Blue Moon you ask?

Well, according to my research the term is actually quite old, about 400 years old. Over time the meaning has shifted. There are about 6 different meanings I have listed them below.

1. Obvious Absurdity. Four hundred years ago if a person said, “He would argue the moon was blue” a 16th century person would understand this the way we understand, “He’d argue black was white.”
2. That of Never. The above first meaning led to this second one. To say that something would happen when the “moon was blue” was saying that it would obviously never happen.
3. The Moon Visually Looking Blue. Environmental activity, such as volcanoes, fires, and monsoons visually turned the moon blue. Although rare, this did happen from time to time.
