Start The New Year With Music Lessons!

A New Experience That Is Good for Body, Mind, and Soul

“You don’t have to see the whole staircase; just take the first step.”

— Martin Luther King Jr.

Happy New Year! As you begin your New Year, consider what goals or plans you will add to  your New Year's resolution list to help you achieve a more exciting and happier year!

Ushering in the New Year comes with tons of excitement and anticipation! Choosing to ring in  2023 with a resolution to live your best life boldly and purposefully is what most individuals  reach for. And, perhaps you are ready to try and experience something good for yourself - Body,  Mind, and Soul.

The New Year is the time to make a fresh start, develop a new habit or learn a new skill. Music  lessons are an excellent New Year's Resolution for both children and adults because you learn a  new skill and develop the healthy habit of consistent daily music practice and discipline.

Music For the Body:

One of the most common things musicians share is that being a musician is highly  physical. Coordination and dexterity are essential in patterns and learning a sequence, and  controlling the song's output is very physical. Studies show that each finger plays a vital role in  our body. When you play an instrument, each finger corresponds to a function: leadership,  reasoning, movement, language, vision, reading, musicality, perception of stimuli, concept  perception, and judgment.

When you learn how to sing, you will find that it is highly physical, and sometimes at the end of  an hour, you will feel like you have worked your entire body!

Music For the Mind:

When you learn to play an instrument, you will learn to observe a song's duration, pattern,  sequence, and rhythmic parts that make up music. In doing so, you are playing something  extraordinary and beautiful and also improving your logical and mathematical skills by  stimulating essential elements of your brain and your mind.

Learning the essential notes and chords to play any instrument helps you become familiar with  the melody of sounds and the structure of a song. And when you practice an instrument daily,  you will be able to create your melodies, rhythms, and patterns and begin to want to write your  songs. You will get ideas and melodies lines from your thoughts and your mind. How cool is  that?

Music For the Soul:

One of the most significant benefits of learning to play an instrument is the friends you will  make and the group experiences you will have with other musicians. It's beautiful to be friends  with other musicians, and great for your Soul to learn to play with another musician. Sharing  music is great for the Soul.

The good news is that there is always time! Music has the same effect on our body, mind, and  Soul, whether you are a child or an adult. If you are looking for a purposeful and fun new  resolution sign up for music lessons in 2023, for body, mind and soul!!
